Woodwork Restoration

Millwork is an essential element of a Victorian space. Although the majority of woodwork at the Hardie-Brown house had never been painted, it needed to be painstakingly cleaned and polished. Alison methodically restored the original baseboards, fluted casings, corner blocks, picture moldings, and the magnificent carved walnut newel post and balustrade. The restored dark woodwork with its amber shellac finish harkens back to the house’s heyday.
